Triple 8 Racing is a team-based, easy to understand, entertaining, short format horseracing series.
The format of the racing events and the team structure of the competition is intentionally uncomplicated making it easy for racing novices to enjoy.
The following is a breakdown of the T8 Racing format.
T8 Races
All eight teams race in each race of 800m with each team having one horse and jockey per race.
Teams are awarded points according to their finishing position in each race.
T8 Race Meetings
Teams accumulate points from their positions in every race through each meeting.
Teams are awarded points from first to last. All points count towards each team’s total for that event.
The team with the most points is named winner for that race meeting.
All teams receive points for the overall series leader board based on their finishing points total.
T8 Racing Series
The T8 Racing series consists of 3 individual race meetings with the team that has the most points after all 3 events in the series crowned T8 Racing Team Champions.
Horses
All teams have one horse per race and they are timed for each race they run.
The fastest horse at each race meeting is crowned the T8 Speed Freak.
The fastest horse after all 3 events is crowned T8 Racing’s Sprinter Supreme.
Jockeys
Jockeys win points for their teams in each race they ride.
The jockey with the most points at the end of each race meeting is named the T8 Fastest Flyer.
The jockey with the most points at the end of the series is crowned T8 Racing Champion Jockey.
Racing Teams
Teams race against each other in races AND to win each race meeting AND for the overall series.
